Anna Lovász is a junior researcher at the Institute for Economics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Her research focuses on the labor market. She recently completed her PhD at the University of Washington in Seattle, her dissertation title was: "The Effect of Competition on the Gender Wage Gap in Hungary, 1986-2003". Her current interests include new estimation methods for assessing wage and productivity differences between demographic groups, wage setting in the public and private sectors, and discrimination theory.
