The American Experience Semester in the United States and Transfer to the Main Campus for the Upper Two Years
All degree students of the Budapest Campus of McDaniel College are required to complete at least one study abroad semester on the main campus of the college in the United States during their studies. It is also possible to transfer for the upper two years of study, leading to the BA degree. Students of the Budapest Campus are entitled to a 54 percent discount from the standard tuition fee on the main campus in Maryland. That is a special privilege available only for the students who transfer to the main campus from McDaniel College Budapest.
Students of the Budapest Campus are encouraged to transfer to the main campus of McDaniel College for one academic year or for the upper two years of their study. The home campus offers a much wider variety of academic programs, it has excellent facilities for study, sports and leisure. The college has a strategic location – a short distance from two of the nation' s metropolitan centers: Washington, D.C. and Baltimore. Both cities offer McDaniel students exceptional opportunities for learning, internship and leisure. For international students, life and study at the home campus of the college will surely prove a defining experience.
