McDaniel ESAC offers two sets of program for undergraduates planning to spend a semester in Budapest.
A. Budapest Semester in History (BSH)
The BSH program covers the history of the region with special emphasis on social and cultural aspects. Budapest in the past decade has become one of the cultural centers of the region with accessible libraries in English relevant to the offered program. Studying history where it actually happened has enormous intellectual advantages. The students will be provided with not only a high standard academic program, but professionally guided field trips inside Hungary and in the region (Austria, Slovenia, Czech Republic, and Poland) are scheduled as well. The interdisciplinary program approaches the study of history of Eastern Europe from political, social, diplomatic, cultural, and religious and gender perspectives.
B. Any courses offered for regular undergraduate students at McDaniel Europe (see, Academics, Course Offerings)
